If you’re among the many individuals in search of ways to be kinder to the environment, start by making some of the below changes to your health and fitness routine!

  • Go on a hike.
    • Silicon Valley is surrounded by numerous beautiful hiking trails. Grab your family or friends and enjoy the views. You can find hiking trails near you at AllTrails.com.
  • Go to your local park or school.
    • Instead of using up all the electrical energy in your home or gym, hit up your local park or school. Playground equipment, tree branches, park benches, and stairs are great (and free!) outdoor equipment.
  • Go green and clean.
    • While out on a walk, hike, bike ride, or run, pick up litter as you go. You can even incorporate a squat as you bend down to pick up the trash.
  • Give your car the day off.
    • Ride your bike or walk to the grocery store, work, or the park. Finding ways to leave your car at home for even a day is good for the environment and a great cardio workout.
  • Go reusable.
    • Stock up on reusable bags and water bottles. These items not only drastically cut down your plastic usage, but are great for convenience while exercising.
