My wife and I joined PAC in January 2005, a short time after I retired from the corporate world. Although we had jogged for years, we had never worked out in a gym. As a result, we needed professional help and asked Brad (PAC trainer) to be our personal trainer. As we began a program of twice-weekly workouts, Brad realized a shoulder injury was severely limiting the motion of my right arm. The injury resulted from carrying a heavy briefcase for years. Motion of my right arm was so limited that I was unable to reach above my head and shoulder pain often kept me awake at night. Brad recommended a physical therapy program to compliment the workouts and put me in contact with a physical therapist at BaySport. After a visit to an orthopedic doctor, I began a program of physical therapy and workouts coordinated by my trainer and my therapist. Given the long history of the injury, progress at first was slow, but after a few weeks, I began to realize noticeable improvement. Therapy improved my motion and working out in the club strengthened my arms. Within a few months, my motion was restored and the pain disappeared. My wife and I continue twice-weekly workouts and I return to BaySport Physical Therapy at the sign of any new injury. My most recent injury was a knee meniscus tear that required arthroscopic surgery to correct. BaySport provided post-op physical therapy and Brad directed workouts that has my knee 100% back only three months after surgery.
