WELCOME TO OUR FITNESS CENTER

Join our newly designed fitness center and enjoy all of the services and amenities we offer our members. Membership includes access to top-of-the-line fitness equipment, cardio and strength training areas, locker rooms with private showers and towel service, free group exercise classes, and fee-based personal training.

A QUICK LOOK

CENTER HOURS

The fitness center is open 5:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Sunday - Friday, with badge access. It will be staffed during normal business hours, Monday - Friday.

THE FACILITY

The fitness center has cardio and strength areas and a designated space for group exercise classes. Private showers, day lockers, towel service, and personal toiletries will be available.

THE EQUIPMENT

Air Bikes, AMTs, Concept II Rowers, Spin BIkes, Stairmill, Treadmills, Upright and Recumbent Bikes, Precor Weight Training Machines, Free Weights, and Functional Training Area with Battle Rope, Rip Trainer, and TRXs. Small equipment (core training balls, exercise and yoga mats, foam rollers, jump ropes, medicine balls, mini bands, resistance tubes, stability balls and yoga accessories) are also available to members.

MEET OUR PROGRAM MANAGER

LYJA LEVAS

Lyja is a Bay Area native and a graduate of the University of Santa Cruz. She is a certified AFAA Group Exercise Instructor (since 2003) and ACE Personal Trainer (since 2006). In addition, she holds certifications in Barre Basics, Nutrition Essentials, Primary Myofascial Release, Tabata Bootcamp, and TRX (Level 1 and 2).

Lyja joined BaySport in 2002 as a Group Exercise Instructor. In 2014, she become the Group Exercise Coordinator. In this position, she oversees the group exercise program for several clients. In addition to providing support to fellow BaySport program managers, Lyja continues to serve as the Group Exercise Coordinator and manage the 237@First Fitness Center.

In her free time, Lyja enjoys her daily workouts, practicing the ukulele, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.

WELLNESS PROGRAMS

  • PERSONAL TRAINING

    Personal Fitness Training services are available for interested participants. Your trainer will provide comprehensive instructions and a variety of exercise techniques, motivating and assisting you in reaching your fitness goals.   • GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES

    Classes are free to members and pre-registration is not required. All levels are welcome. Space and/or equipment is limited in some classes, so come in early to grab your spot. Learn More.

  • EQUIPMENT ORIENTATIONS, EXERCISE PROGRAMMING, AND FITNESS ASSESSMENTS

    If you desire an orientation to the exercise equipment, a personalized exercise program to get you started, or a fitness assessment, you can schedule these services by appointment with a member of the Fitness Center Staff. These services are free of charge and designed to help you establish a wellness program that will meet your needs, goals, and interests. Learn More.
