Health screening services are one of BaySport's core service offerings. We have been providing health screening services for over 25 years, starting in 1984 with Apple Computer.
Since our first client, BaySport has continued to be a leader in the field of wellness screenings by providing clinically-skilled employees, outstanding customer service, and unequaled dedication to detail for each screening event. As an industry leader, our team conducts over 10,000 health screens per year.
BaySport believes that offering on-site health screening programs provides individuals with valuable personal information about their health. The beauty of on-site screening programs is that BaySport can provide immediate health related data, and take advantage of that "teachable moment" with the responsive audience (the participant). The goal is to educate early, enabling individuals to take control of their health and wellness decisions. We believe in the importance of developing positive wellness habits which can set-up all employees for future success in their work life and home life. This philosophy is mirrored after the CDC's Workplace Model.
Our ideal health screening program will allow us to arrive at least 30-minutes in advance of the initial appointment so that the team may get badged, escorted and prepared at the proper location. The room should be easy to find, have direct electrical power, several tables and chairs, be large enough to afford some privacy and confidentiality and require minimal effort for set up. Participants will arrive according to their appointment time; walk-in participants will be accommodated when possible or slotted toward the end of the testing session. Participants will arrive, complete their forms and proceed through the stations, receiving their results with consultation and departing the screening area after approximately 20 minutes. When the screening has finished, everyone involved-- the corporate client, BaySport and, most of all, the participant-- feels that it was an effective and efficient program.
A mutually acceptable biometric testing schedule will be determined. BaySport's fee schedule is based upon a time and materials model. We work with our clients to determine the expected number of total participants and, as associated, a minimum number of participants to support this schedule.
BaySport works with CloviWell to provide a HIPAA compliant, paperless approach to health screenings. From appointment scheduling to sharing of test results, everything is done seamlessly through Clovi. Our team incorporates wifi enabled tablets to collect and review test data with each participant. Results are sent electronically and accessed via a password protected account at the conclusion of the appointment. Then, participants can easily access their results at any time and compare results from previous tests.
To further enhance the client's program experience, BaySport provides the convenience of online scheduling. This web-based tool is customizable for each client and allows the participant to schedule his/her own appointment. Multiple appointment types, appointment reminders, appointment cancellations/rescheduling, and reporting capabilities are included. We have experience working with groups that range from 20 participants/day to over 750 participants/day. We work with our corporate clients to develop a schedule (number of participants/day and/or number of screening days) that best fits the client's schedule, facility, and budget. To enhance convenience for an interested employee who is unable to make the worksite screening appointment, BaySport will honor biometric testing performed for the employees of our corporate client at any of our Bay Area clinics.
Following the health screening event, a detailed report of the health screening data is provided for the client to assess employee risk factors. Included with the presentation of the aggregate data is a summary assessment that highlights specific risk areas and recommended worksite wellness solutions to target the high risk results. We have found this information to be a valuable component of the process to develop an annual calendar of corporate wellness services.
BaySport health screenings are performed under the direction of the BaySport Preventive Medical Group. They are designed to assess overall health risks and assist participants in the development of an effective risk reduction plan.

Yes, take all medications as proscribed by your primary physician.
After checking in and filling out a simple consent form, you will receive a finger stick at the first station. While your blood sample is processing you will be seen at station 2, where your body mass index (BMI) and blood pressure will be measured. Your blood results should be ready after about 10 minutes of processing time. You will then speak with a health professional about your results. The time at station 3 depends heavily on what you’d like to discuss but typically takes between 5-10 minutes.

We have a team of phlebotomists, exercise physiologists, nutritionists, and wellness coaches conducting your biometric screening.
Ideally we’d like you to fast for 10 hours but we can still run a blood test if you are not fasted. We won’t be able to test LDL-cholesterol or triglycerides and blood sugar may be affected. Instead, we would get a non-HDL value, which is a good indicator of your bad cholesterol, and can counsel you accordingly.
In order to guarantee an appointment, all participants should schedule an appointment through the online scheduler. This will minimize any wait times and enhance your experience. There may be availability for “walk-in” appointments, though the availability will vary from event to event. Please check with a BaySport representative on the morning of the event to determine the “walk-in” options for the event.
