All of us have that one song that triggers an emotional response to a memory. Or that one song that you can’t resist dancing to. Maybe it is a playlist that helps you fall asleep at night or your pump-jam mix while working out. Music provides excellent entertainment and a great source of comfort during certain times in our lives. But studies show that music not only offers great entertainment but also benefits our overall health!
Music provides our brains with a total workout! There are a few things that stimulate the brain the way that music does and if you want to keep your brain engaged throughout the aging process, listening to music is one of the best things you can do (aka, it helps your brain stay young!).
