Wellness Trends for 2024

The New Year does not mean you have to go all out with the “new year, new me” concept, but it does provide a fun opportunity to try new things. Whether you are tired of the same old workouts, want to work on your relationships, or are ready to try new drinks or body care methods, here is a list of what experts are predicting is up and coming in wellness trends for 2024.

  • Badminton: With a lighter racquet and a buoyant birdie, coming in hot as a 2024 trend. Badminton is showing signs of a continuation trend, as pickleball brought us in 2023, as an accessible, low-impact, highly social game. Badminton improves cardiovascular and pulmonary function, and its high speed and fancy footwork can boost balance and agility.
  • Slow Travel: Not every vacation has to be a jam-packed event, and many people are combatting burnout from everyday stressors with calmer, more wellness-focused escapes. Travel experts are seeing signs that more people are opting for laid-back experiences – like staycations, meditation retreats, and fluid travel itineraries.
  • Knockout Workouts: Want a workout to help reduce stress? Knockout workouts are projected to become more mainstream in 2024 and include combat sports like karate, kickboxing, and jiu-jitsu.
  • Mocktails: The steady rise of people reducing alcohol intake and increasing mocktails has been going on for a few years but is predicted to continue rising in 2024. Ditching alcohol can have benefits like weight loss, better liver function, and reduced risk of heart disease. Fun and fancy mocktails are popping up everywhere, from popular beverage makers to restaurants creating fun, creative names for booze-free beverages (some still include fun tiny umbrellas!).
